Summer
Boat from the docks at Eagle River Inn & Resort on to the Eagle River chain of lakes, or enjoy the over 1200 lakes in the Vilas County area. The lakes of Vilas county are ideal for fishing, swimming, boating, or water-skiing. Communities throughout the area also offer a variety of shopping and festivals to entertain you.
For the avid fisherman, show your competitive side in the Professional Musky Tournament Trail in late June or the Annual National Championship Musky Open in August.
Fall
Enjoy the Northwoods! The annual Colorama celebrations across the area highlight the beautiful fall color season. Eagle River's Cranberry Fest (1st weekend in October) is always a big attraction!
Hunting (deer,bear, grouse, waterfowl, or small game), fishing, muskie tournaments, and hiking are at their best in Eagle River.
Winter
Eagle River is the "Snowmobile Capitol of the World", and for good reason too! The World Championship Snowmobile Derby is held in mid-January and access to over 1,000 miles of groomed trails is available right from our door at the Eagle River Inn & Resort.

Adult Pond Hockey tournament in February brings lots of action to the ice on Dollar Lake. Watch several games at once!
Eagle River also offers miles of secluded, well groomed trails for skiing or snow shoeing. Bring your skis or rent from one of the sport shops in the area.
The Eagle River Inn & Resort is conveniently located on Highway 70, close to downtown Eagle River and on Watersmeet Lake, part of the Eagle River Chain of 28 lakes. We are also pit stop #25 on the Eage River Snowmobile Trail.
